Musica Humana is a peer-reviewed journal,
devoted to the study of music as the mental,
communicational, and socio-cultural product
of human activities. It sets its sights on an
integrated and comprehensive approach, rather than
committing itself to a specific, specialized and focused
area of study. The journal aims to aid communication
amongst scholars from diverse fields and thus invites
contributions from various perspectives and critical
methodologies including, but not limited to, empirical
sciences, linguistics and semiotics, sociology and
anthropology, intellectual history and cultural theory,
as well as aesthetics and philosophy.
It is also hoped that the journal provides a venue for a
trans-continental exchange of ideas and a fostering of
research collaboration. Both the Editorial and Advisory
Boards reflect our aspiration to be an international
journal in every sense.
